Thanks for your reply.But which of the equipments is each formulae meant for?.Also, you need to define the parameters Beta and Omega.(I have not laid hands on the TP410 and GPSA hand books)

dcastro supplied the Crane equations for sudden and gradual contraction (ie flow from large end of reducer to smaller end)
equation 1 is for gradual contraction
equation 2 is for sudden contraction

There are another set of Crane equations for sudden and gradual enlargement (ie flow from small end of reducer to larger end)

Beta is ratio of small diameter to larger diameter
Omega should read theta
Theta is angle of convergence or divergence in enlargements or contractions in pipes.
If you wish to pursue this any further I strongly suggest that you obtain a copy of "Crane 410"
