Our project requires testing worse case. In this case, that means locking up 4 cast iron wheels (10,000 lb load per wheel)then dragging them fully loaded on the 17-4pH rail they normally roll on. Does anyone know friction coefficients between cast iron and an age hardened martensitic stailess steel? Any other sourses for friction coefficients?

Your testing will provide the answer. but it *should* be somewhere around .25, or 10,000 lb. of pull required.
