I have a polar mounted tank with spherical bearing at both ends. The backlash inside the bearing is in the order of 10 micron. How can I determine the effect of the backlash on the frequency of the tank with the bearings ? My reference frequency would be that of a hardmounted tank without bearing. Al other possible defects in the bearing are not considered for the time being; the bearings and the tank are assumed to be of the same material.
