Frequency Analysis

I need to do a frequency analysis on my model, but am not entirely sure how the features in SAP work to do that (ie. what functions do I have to define?)

Well, there are several frequency domain analysis possibilities in SAP:

1. Modal analysis - this runs by default with no additional input

2. Response spectrum analysis

3. Steady state harmonic analysis

4. Power spectral density

5. Modal time history

There are options under define menu to define or import functions for these analyses. Can you give more details?

What analysis are You tring to do? Extract the natural vibration modes? Steady State analysis? PSD? Spectrum analysis?
