freeze-dryer vacuum pump alternative oil

Dear folk

I have got my vacuum pump for a freeze-dryer that uses oil No 16 and I know it is preferable to use manufacturer designed oil.

Just a wonder if there is an alternative replacement when a supplier wouldn't have stock ?

Ask the manufacturer.
