Hello,
I have designed a fittness-equipment: kayak-ergometer. It is similar to the exercise bicycles, but simulates the kayak movement. I used a flywheel with bicycle freewheels attached to it. In the mean time I recognised, that in exercise bikes the socalled one-way-bearing is used as freewheel. I tried to purchase these items in Europe, but they are extremely expensive (about 20 times the price of a Chinese or Taiwan product). On the same time I have no source to buy. Can anybody help where to purchase these parts and magnetic brake equipped flywheels together with freewheel, as used in exercise bikes. (I don't want to buy complete exercise bikes to throw out the parts, what are not necessary for my equipment.

Thank,

Laszlo

My sideline business is importing from taiwan. I deal in the Dicta brand of freewheel sprockets, which are essentially 1 way bearings. My email is wlovre@redred.com . I'd be happy to quote you on 500 pcs or more. They're really quite inexpensive at a couple dollars each. Thanks!
