I've found on the net a very useful tool for Selection of Stainless Steel.
Maybe somebody knows this tool, but i think that it could be useful for a lot of people on this Forum.
It's a free Software that will guide you in selecting Stainless Steel for Atmospheric exposure.

"The Stainless Steel Evaluation System is designed for use by architects, contractors, and others involved in stainless steel selection. It is based on practical experience and atmospheric exposure studies"

Hope you'll find it useful.

It is very good. It doesn't quite address very severe conditions like Middle East seacoast well enough. There a PREN of 25 is needed. It works for most environments.

Mike, go ahead and contact IMOA about your concerns. It might be that they haven't described the environmental conditions correctly. Or this could just be a special case.
