Hi,
I have a problem in exporting Staad file from Frameworks Plus (version 7.1)which does not carry the load input with it.
Can someone help me to write the Staad file (ext. std from FWP which having the load input embedded in the Staad file.
Thanks in advance,
Vincent

impossible.. i have not seen this done.. loads are input manually on staad.. you dont input loads on frameworks.. at least that is not the norm..

Thanks,
Let me start from the beginning, someone input loads in Staad and export .std file to import into FWP and model was created from this .std file. Now, I've modified the model and export a new std file for this engineer to run Staad again on the new model and he claimed that the new .std file I create does not have the load input.
How can I handle this ? He has to input all the loads from scratch or can he use the old load file and only input new load for the new members ?
Intergraph told me that when I import file from Staad into FWP and no load will tranfer.

you cannot just switch back and forth as you wish..

use the old staad file and modify it manually (loads, model, etc..) to match whatever the new model in frameworks is..

exporting from frameworks to staad or vise versa is done only on the intial phase to avoid double modeling.. and usually it is only the geometry and sizes.. no loads..

also it not a good practice to model in staad then export to frameworks.. it is model to frameworks then export to staad..

this is because nodes in staad cause single member to be multiple members.. once exported to frameworks it's also multiple members even if it should be one member only..

Thanks again for your tip,
We're just learning the hard way sometimes (SOL). Now is to late to go back. Intergraph said same thing, either create load case in FWP or do it in the old Staad file.

Can someone pls. let me know how is the orientation in STAAD comparing with Frameworks Plus.
I import a model from STAAD thru the Analytical Deck import command and having trouble to rotate it accordingly with FWP orientation.
