I am looking for reference material on the design of four and five story wood framed structures. Any suggestions?

driftlimiter has some good suggestions, Woodworks has lots of presentations and articles with code references. Assuming you know the basics of wood, I think The Analysis of Irregular Shaped Structures Diaphragms and Shear Walls by Terry Malone and Robert Rice is a must read because they go over common difficult situations in these types of buildings.
