I have worked on jobs using FF. There were "a lot" of communication issues in the early days, with various vendor's FF just "slightly" different than the next vendors. These issues are going down as FF matures - like anything else.
If you are having problems with FF communication, it may not be Rotork's fault (per se). It takes 2 to communicate. What is the system Rotork is communicating with? Perhaps, you can get reps from both companies to help with the problem.
