When we find the size of expansion loop.
we can use 2 method. First is Kellogg method and the secound is use the monograph.

The kellogg method can find the size of expansion loop, forces and moment at anchor and guide point.

But the monograph is use to find the size of loop only.

The question is when we want to find the forces and moment at anchor and guide point but expansion loop size is determined from monograph.

Can I use K1 and K2 from the existing loop(it's size determined by monograph) to find A1,A2 from kellogg chart?

Or I must re-calculate K1,K2 again?

Best regards,.

Why not check it both ways this time, then next time you'll know.

Usually mixing methods to get an answer is not a good idea unless the nomograph is based on the other method.
