My question would be is, how much kinetic energy/force are transferred to the object/person once the car hit it. Like is there specific way to calculate it? I have a table of the kinetic energy of a car at different speeds. Just wanted to know if there's a exact way of calculating it.
The reason I asked is because I am trying to find the breaking point of my project and wonder if it's going to be a dynamic or just static force since the force of a car is somehow absorbed, transferred and the object is thrown and not fully absorbing it. Or just apply the total weight of the car instead since the car will fully stop anyways. Not sure if I'm overthinking it.
Thanks in advance.
