For 2 TJI joists ends touching free

For 2 TJI joists ends touching freely at a point resting on top of a beam, should any special connections (web stiffener?) be used if only top-down forces are acting on the TJI joists? The TJI joists will have roofing resting on the top flange. Thank you

Depends on the end reaction, the bearing length, and the TJI size. Check with the manufacturer's literature, everything you need should be there.
 
Is there a wood nailer on top of the beam? How are the TJI's attached to the beam?

Generally I would want to have blocking to prevent rotation at the bearing ends (much like a rim joist would do at an "outside" wall.
That might even be a manuf. requirement.
