I have a font issue and it's driving me crazy. We are trying to adopt the use of tagging dims for inspection with the oval functionality SW provides. When we mark a dim for inspection the tolerances on the dims shrink about 25%. We also dual dim, and square brackets will also change in the same manner. I have been through all the Document Properties that I can think of, but can't see anything that would contribute to this scaling issue.

Any ideas?

I doubt that there is anything that you can do. I believe SW automatically scales them down to fit them inside of the oval. Are they too small to read?

Not too small to read, just small enough to not look proper.

No, the oval automatically adjusts its own size as required. At previous jobs I never ran into this issue, making me think it is some setting that I am not aware of. I've even tried several different fonts (Arial, Arial Unicode, Century Gothic, etc) and TruType fonts with no effect.

We are running 2008 sp5 and we don't have this issue. The dimension text remains the same size w/ or w/o the oval. Does 2010 have this issue?

Will this help? Document Properties - Dimensions - Tolerance (located at the bottom of page) - Font.

Felix, that was the first place I checked. [glasses]

What about on the Other tab in the Dimension Property Manager?

My co-worker has the same spec'd computer as I do (purchased identically) and his font is not changing, but the square brackets used in dual dimensioning are getting smaller. I need to see if others are observing the same thing, just don't have the time to dig much deeper at the moment.

Felix7502, both have been checked, and not sure why/how you can enable one and it won't enable the other... but that's an animal for another day.

MM ... just for the hell of it, install a copy of your co-workers reg file to your computer. Copying their Windows/Font folder might also be worthwhile.
