What is the correct conversion from 10 PT size characters to the like metric size?

And I will also need other point sizes like 12PT converted if you have a reference.

Do you express the height and width, and spacing, line spacing?

Has the metric size font been used widely?

Thanks, John

Don't kniow about the actual conversion but as a starting point, 1 pt is 1/72 of an inch.

I don't know if this is a simply math conversion, but 10pt equals .101 inches, or 2.56mm.

12pt equals .121 inches, or 3.08mm.

The two values given don't match up, but looslib is correct... 1" is equivalent to 72 point. 1" also equals 25.4mm.

So, 10 point = 0.139" = 3.53mm
and 12 point = 0.167" = 4.23mm
