Folks-
It seems that everybody I talk to has a different opinion on what positional and profile tolerances can be held by different processes for producing feature patterns and outlines in metals and PCBs.

Where can I find, say, A. difficult, B. somewhat difficult, C. typical, and D. "no-brainer"
i. in-pattern (feature-relating) tolerances and
ii. pattern-locating tolerances.

1. punching,
2. machining,
3. Waterjet,
4. EDM, and
5. Laser

in:

a. plastic sheets and plates (various kinds, thermoset, thermoplastic, fiber reinforced,...)
b. sheet metal (various alloys, ferrous and non-ferrous)
c. metal plate (various alloys, ferrous and non-ferrous)
c. metal bar stock (varous alloys, ferrous and non-ferrous)

I'm really looking for publications not opinions. Also, assume all processes are CNC-driven. We would never buy from somebody with a manually-controlled equipment.
