any one have a FM 200 plan review checklist they can post or send???

does any one require the FM 200 installation instructions??

I'm sure I have something around here somewhere but we haven't installed an FM-200 system for a while. Novec is our preferred agent.

Dave

In response to the first question, the information needed on drawings is well documented in NFPA 2001. Sorry, but I don't have a "Checklist" for you.

In regards to the second question, are you asking for a copy of a FM-200 installation manual, or if a code official requires one?

I've never been asked for the installation manual as part of the contract requirements. I've had lots of engineers from A&E and Engineering firms ask for them, but not as a condition of the contract.

NFPA 2001 I believe requires the "Maintenance" instructions be provided. Some manufacturers have such a document, and some don't.

yes I was asking if the ahj should require the install manual

Such info as how to support the piping, not sure what else on an acceptance inspection that the install manual would help to look at.

to me it seems a little hard to inspect a system off a spec sheet???

cdafd,

If I were a contractor, providing a suppression system to a client, and was asked by the client to provide the manual, I'd do it without hesitation.

With regard to support piping and other such items, not many manuals have good info on this. Fike is one company that does.

If you're the AHJ, you've got to ask you're self it the supplier is qualified. You may need a little experience yourself in these systems, in order to determine that.

If you can tell me what brand of equipment you have, I may be able to help with a manual.
