I am trying to solve a fluid structure interaction problem and am looking at the possibility using MSC Nastran/Dytran to handle the combined Lagrangian/Eulerian meshing and simulation. I am trying to determine what would happen to the walls of tank of water whose top is open to the air (like a swimming pool :) ) if I drop a 3000 lb cylinder into the water. The cylinder is dropping 30ft and so hits the water at 44mph. This problem is highly non-linear, combines compressible? fluids, and impact analysis and I am looking for advice.

So I don't post the same thing twice here's a link to my question with lots of details. (I originally posted it in the structural FEA forum section)

Please take a look if you have any helpful thoughts concerning this type of analysis and know anything about how MSC Nastran w/ Dytran would handle such problem.
