I'd like to split a flow from a link into 2 parts. All runoff up to the 2 year event will go one direction (into pond a), and all flow above the 2 year event in another direction (overland flow to pond b). I can get the link to split by keying in the actual maximum cfs to go to pond a, but it seems tedious to do that. Can I just tell it "up to 2 year event go here, and over that go there? Is there a better method?
Thanks, Adam

If you know the flow threshold, a link is a good solution, exactly as you described. However, diversion structures rarely yield this kind of ideal behavior.

So I would generally recommend that you model the actual diversion structure you plan to use, such as a catch-basin with a low-flow opening and an overflow weir. This could be modeled as a zero-storage pond, with the devices routed to primary and secondary, in order to split the flows.
