i am looking for a device hat will fairly accurately measure the fow of ink through a system. the ink is of a similar consistancy to grease and the flow rate comes on and off demand but is fairly low can anyone make any suggestions

If it is under 1000 cps, use a positive displacement flow meter. There are pd flow meters that measure more viscus materals but they become less acurate, up to 100,000 cps. Or you can measure how much you have used from a container with a level sensor and program the logic to a calculated flow. If you can do the logic, the level method will not be exact but will be more reliable.
