I am seeking the load requirements (live, wind, etc.) in effect in Florida circa 1966. Does anyone have that information or a suggestion where it could be found? I checked SlideRuleEra's website and did not find it.

Hey!! I'm the younger of the three of us...just a toddler.

hokie66....the code in effect for Florida in that time period would generally have been the 1965 Southern Building Code; however, it was up to each locale as to which code they wanted to adopt and which version. As an example, during that time period, some of the larger cities had their own building code; since each locale adopted the model code (Southern Building Code) by ordinance, they often were several years behind in adoption. I have the 1965 version. The Chapter on loading is only 7 pages and I have it in PDF format. Let me know how to get it to you.

Oops!! I thought it was hokie66, not Hokie93! Hokie93 is probably a lot younger than us!!

Anyway, Hokie93, the offer is there. Let me know how to get it to you.

See, now he’s even repeatin himself more often.

Nah, dhengr....the double post was because I still have my cat-like reactions and double tapped the trigger! [machinegun]

That would appear to be exactly the document I am seeking and I take absolutely no offense at being mistaken for Hokie66! Since posting of email addresses and telephone numbers is not permitted, I'm not sure how to best contact one another. Is there a 'private message' feature on this forum? Can the file be uploaded or is copyright still a concern after 47 years?

Hokie93....The International Code Council holds the copyright, which is active, therefore cannot post. I can copy a small portion of the document without infringement.
