Floppy drive stepper motors

I've just cannibalized 3 PS/2 floppy drives. I was wondering if anyone knows the operating requirements of the stepper motor used to move the read/write head in one of those things. They're 12 V.
 
You need a operate via stepping motor driver IC. 2 pulses or sine waves are need (in 90 degree out of phase) to the input to the IC.
