Am seeking a vendor for both 1/4" and 3/8" dia flex drive cable. Cable to have swaged ends to fit female, square drive. Cable is similar to that used with mechanical speedometers. Found a firm in Binghamton, NY that advertises such, but they do not wish to sell small volumes for industrial applications. Am wondering if perhaps there is a polymer material that would function as well? Am appreciative to any suggestions.

Go to a small automotive/racing shop, they should be able to source cut-to-length cable and fit the ends.

Sincere thanks for the lead on SS White. Unfortunately, they have a $2500.00 minimum order. Hardly practical for my needs.

Regarding the automotive/racing shop, please advise location of one offering 3/8" flex drive cable.

Weedeaters us a flexible shaft that you can purchase replacements relatively cheap. Not sure about the length that you need but I would look into them and see if you can did up who their supplier is.

I found that Mcmaster had a range of cables in standard lengths and if they have them they are usually willing to sell them in non-standard lengths.

I had great cooperation with McMaster Carr. Thanks for the tip!
