Hello,

I am doing an MSA on our measurement process for flatness. We are using an inverted gauge installed under a granite block. The issue I have is that when measuring flatness, no two operators are going to be hitting the exact same points. I can create a fixture to ensure they are hitting the same points but in production they are not using a fixture so it will not be a true representation of the current measurement system.

What do you recommend I do?

Thanks.

Is there a control plan in place?
The main suggestion would be to write a procedure that requires them to use the fixture. Get your quality manager to enforce this.
