Can any one tell me how to get one of these to work in low light conditions. (Semi darkness)

Can they take infra red photos or do you get infra red versions?

Most such systems use CMOS cameras, which are similar to CCD cameras, being made from silicon and responding to wavelengths up to about 1 um.

So, these systems, such as security cameras, use near-infrared LEDs, between 0.78 um to about 1.0 um.

These are not true infrared devices, as they are sensing reflected light and not emitted infrared.
