Hi guys.
I am trying to flange a copper tube which is Ø12.7mm diameter and 1.24mm thickness.
Please check this picture.
The pipe end should be Ø18.5mm after flanging.
Is there a flanging tool kit suitable for such application?
I tried to search for flanging tool kit but all I could find was flaring tool kit.

Hi Mike
Thank you so much.
Actually, I was thining about the double flaring and making the tube end flat using a washer.
But, the flaring clamp is causing some very deep scratch around the clamping area on tube surface which I should avoid at the moment.
Is there some tube flanging tool kit or device dedicated for copper tube flanging without scratch?

Where are you flanging it? Can you use flange adapter?

Sorry, what I mean is backing flange.

Wrap the tube with masking tape before applying the clamp.

Try to find a tool with a gentler clamp.

Do it on a bench.
Secure the clamp to one end of the bench.
Clamp lightly.
Secure the other end of the tube to the bench.

I would go to a plumbing supply house to look for copper ferrules. Is this a flexible copper pipe, type K or more rigid one, type M.

Hi guys
Thank you for your answers.
The material is very rigid one. Not flexible at all.
The material of this copper tube is C1220T.

The color and curvature of the flanged tube in the photos you provided suggest that the material was thoroughly annealed before forming. You may have to do the same.

Hi Mike
I just contacted the material supplier.
He said the copper tube is a drawn tube.
I asked whether the tube is annealed one but he didn't know it for sure.
