Anyone have any idea on use of fixtures during baking, our large gear pistons are going out of dimension during bake. The same would apply to shot peening. Where would I find the use of fixtures during stress relieve????

Thanks, Jim

Jim,
Most braze and shotpeen houses should be able to tell you what type of material will remain inert during the two processes. You may have to compensate for the dimensional differences prior to or machine/grind after these processes. You didn't define the dimensional issues or the material, this will also play into events. If the material is going thru a heat treat cycle while getting brazed, you might have to bring it back in house to bring dimensions back into print before going thru the aging cycle.
