Hi,

I have imported a complicated sketch into solidworks in dxf format. It has a point (its centre) which I need to make coincident with the centre point of my main drawing axis. However when I do this it moves only the sketch centre point but not the rest of the sketch.

My question is: can I fix all the imported sketch elements (lines & points) in relation to the imported centre point so that when I make it coincident with the drawing centre point, all sketch elements will also move?

Thanks in advance.

The "2D to 3D" toolbar has tools that will allow you to relocate an entire sketch.

The Move Entities tool in the Sketch toolbar should also do the trick.

sixmillionways ... The 2D to 3D toolbar TheTick suggested is similar to the Move Entities command. It does the same job (and is actually easier) because it automatically assumes the whole sketch is being moved. You only have to select the from and to points.
