I would to ask if I install underground fire water tank, is it required to provide and fit it with a vent? or not?

thank you.

An atmospheric vent is required.

Thamks stookeyfpe, but what is atmospheric vent? Sorry I'm not Mechanical.

The atmospheric vent provides a mean for ensuring the tank internal design pressure is not exceeded when water is introduced or removed. NFPA 24 has requirements for these vents, which are sized by the tank manufacturer. If the tank is being located in a environment where water could freeze, I'm fairly sure NFPA 24 has requirements to protect the vent from freezing.
