Hi guys,

I have a warehouse that is 3.2 m high from floor level , and total area is 5000sqm.

I need to estimate fire fighting requirement for this area , so as to get:

1. Flow needed for that area
2. Sprinker heads
3. Pipe size that will be needed

And in this location , 8 inch pipe that i can tap into.

Kindly let me know how can i estimate this based on available data.

Thanks,

Start with the building code in the area which I assume would reference NFPA 13.

Even if NFPA isn't your applicable code it contains a lot of good guidance for this.
Lots of details.
That is why there are people that only do this for a living. Hire one of them. Your insurance company will be happy, and the building will be insurable as well.

NFPA is your friend. It's free to access, but you need to know what you're doing as there are many many variables which greatly impact the water supply requirement.

e.g.

Zoning,
Contents,
no of people,

I think an 8" pipe will be pushing it plus you need to know flowing pressure

And that sounds like a very low warehouse.

Remember - More details = better answers
