IS IT NECESSARY TO INSTALL A PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE ON THE DISCHARGE SIDE OF A DIESEL ENGINE DRIVEN PUMP?
WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES IF WE DO NOT INSTALL IT? HELP ME PLEASE
 
1) Please don't write all in capitals next time. It means you're SHOUTING!!!

2) Fire water systems can be very odd. You need to look at NFPA codes normally. I think they don't like pressure relief valves because they can fail and let water out when they shouldn't.

You can get small thermal relief valves allowed, but not full flow ones AFAIK. And any item needs to be "approved".

You are talking about a pump that pumps water correct? The simple consequence is that if something malfunctions or the wrong valves are closed then you can end up with pressure buildup in the system above what it’s constructed for and your weakest component fails and water comes out, possibly a lot.
 
The question really is why / what are you asking - more info needs to be given.

THE OP seems to be asking a technical question / answer (poorly asked) not code related - but pump hydraulic related.
