Hello All,
This is my first post. This looks like a really good forum. I have searched the forum for "twin disc finite element modelling" but nothing was found. So I thought I would post.
Does anyone have any FE modelling experience of rotating twin discs in contact. I am running friction and wear tests and I have modelled the discs in solidworks, but wanted to validate my physical testing with the FEA. I would like to look at contact stresses, deformations and wear (ideally on a macro, micro and nanoscale). I will be using Abaqus 6.9 to run the FE models.
Does anyone have any experience in this or can point me to any direction for more advice/work in this area.
Thanks
