Finite Element Analysis Example - Specific to Bridges

Does anyone have any good examples for finite element analysis on specific bridge types. I am not looking for general finite element books, rather a good reference with good examples or worked out analysis specifically for bridges.

I would like to model and analyze a simply supported prestressed concrete channel girder bridge transversly post-tensioned at the third points without a composite deck and a relatively small shear key at the top of the girders. IE the asphalt is on the top of the channel webs and flanges are vertical with no reinforcing only grout in the shear keys.

I was thinking of grillage anaysis followed by a more detailed look at the location of the PT connecting the girders together with FEA - either plates or solids using STAAD.Pro 2006. I am interested in the distribution factor for live load (comparing to AASHTO LRFD) and determining the cause of the cracks in the concrete diaphragms located at the third points at the post-tensioning.

Any suggestions for resources would be appreciated. The only good resource I have located so far is Hambly - Bridge Deck Behavior 2nd edition.

Thanks,

Andy
