I'm trying to add a finish symbol to my general notes and I can't figure it out. I'm using WF.

Any help would be greatful,

Is this what you are trying to do?View attachment 826
It is a table in our format, the value is a parameter in the model.

First, put surf finish symbol in your drawing.

Insert > Surface Finish > Retrive > select 'Standard' > Place it on drawing.
You can delete this surf finish, it just needs to be in drawing memory.

In your note put "&sym(standard)"
i.e. SURFACE ROUGHNESS: &sym(standard)

BTW, this is for 2001, may be different for WF.

Charles, all I see when I do the is 'SURFACE ROUGHNESS: STANDARD

OK, my bad, the word standard is the actual name of the symbol. In WF it's no_value.

Much thanks fellows...
