Hi All,

Can someone please help with this? We have a 303SS shaft that gets its OD polished with Scotch Brite to help remove the scratches from handling and to present a nice finish for visual appreciation only. We're getting questions from the guys in the shop as to what is minimally acceptable. What kind of finish spec (125 uIN etc) or note would be best to callout on the dwg to get something repeatable?

Thanks,

I would give Flexbar a call to discuss your requirements. there are several makers of these comparison gauges.
As far as I know is that finish is called out to meet a certain comparison gauge where both parties have to work with the same brand gauge. there are several different ways to express the finish and when specifying it all parties have to be on the same wave length.
