Hi,

I have a problem when I am looking after rare sizes of sheet metals, pipes and round bars. I am in an engineering firm and generally gives job to different local workshops. Since I am not buying the steel myself, there are not any reason for the companies who sell steel to help me, and I don't want to use them.

So what I wonder is if there are any sites or places where you can get information about more rare steel sizes. Like now I am looking for a pipe around do300 di270 of
en 1.4404 (aisi 316l) or a similar steel

For my personal fabrication, I use the local Metal Supermarkets.

Get a machinist/hobbyist/metal working magazine at Borders or a bookstore in the hobby section of the magazines: There are several metal small parts warehouses that have off-size shapes as well.
