Does anyone know how to apply a torque on a cylinder using a cantilevered end in order to determine radial displacement of cylinder?
ive done a fea analysis but it just outputs the stress distribution on the point where i apply the force on the cantilevered end and doesnt translate it to the cylinder? any suggestions?

In your FEA model, how is the lever attached to the cylinder? Also, what are your boundary conditions?

The lever is only attached by mating and 'surf to surf contact'. I also saw a 'mesh mating' option- but havn't used this.
I have not set any boundary conditions- how would I go about doing this? and is it required?
At this stage- the force applied to the lever is not being transfered to the cylinder in order to generate a torque..

Thanks for your help
