find uncovered wave links

How can find uncovered wavelinks in an assembly.
.. :defined uncovered wave links-> wave links not from components that are not connected/ build in/ in the assembley.
I'm looking for a solution to find such a link in a complexer assembly.

Try finding the linked feature in the part navigator and then look at the information about that feature. It should tell you which assembly and which part were used to create the wave link.

that is a really anoying work in assembley of 300 components and there are more than 2 wave links inside them...

In NX 6 we are introducing something called the NX Relations Browser which will allow you to open an assembly (all or part) and then once the parts are open (they have to be fully loaded but not the ones they only reference) you can ask to see the relationships and they will show, in a sort of 'PERT'-like diagram, the relationships between any loaded parts as well as any directly linked unloaded part(s). In the image attached below you can see a large number of components that are related/linked to each other as well as one unloaded file (shown in Orange). You can also ask it to show all parts with broken links. You can filter links that are only using Interpart Expressions, or ones that are NOT position dependent, etc. You can also select individual parts and only show relationships relative to it, even if the entire assembly is open. You can also remove the display of any parts with no relationships (in my example most of those unlinked parts were fasteners so I could have asked that they not even be included to start with).

Anyway, this should go a long way to helping people better understand the relationship in an assembly and what their status is.

... hope that is not only on a special license ! I'm looking for a solution in Nx4 ~ I found the checkmate, but I found nothing covering my needs. Are there any recources for such a checkmate template?

To find the links apply filters in the Part Navigator using "feature type" to help isolate them.

I've looked in NX6 still requires a wave license...
... for round compensation 10k€ thats too much

I've been kicking the tires on NX6 Beta and now production. WAVE users are going to really like this. The browser can be exported in XML format and looks the same when opened without NX or TCeng running.

I might be wrong but I also think NX6 remembers the last know file and feature info of broken links.

The General Re-linker will use the info to relink WAVE if it can find the original file and feature in an assembly (might be session too)
