Comments marked ///\\Please help, I am currently installing some VFDs.My problems is I am fitting filters and line chokes to these drives.
///It is better to contact the manufacturer tech support for appropriate hardware and fits.\\ My collegue wants to fit the choke on the supply side and the filters on the output side but I disagree and think it should be the opposite way around. Could anyone please settle this argument
///The choke (reactor) can be on the input side or on the output side or on both sides; it depends.
There are various filters. Some of them are designed for the input side, e.g. passive harmonic filters, active harmonic filters, hybrid harmonic filters, matrix harmonic filters, etc. Others are meant to be on the output side, e.g. RF filters, dv/dt filters, "sine" filters, etc. The VFD manufacturer tech support should provide the right solution to your applications.\\\
