Take a look at the attached image. Is there a way to make the fillet bead uniform around the intersection? Any idea why SW chose to create the fillet bead like it did? Thanks.

The surface condition varies drastically as it progresses around the joint. At the top and bottom it is a near perfect 90° fillet, at the sides it is a very flat flare type weld.

I've never tried, but I imagine you would have to dress the edges of the hole and pipe end with varying bevels in order to create consistent joint surfaces condition.

And good luck with that. [smile]

Thanks. As long as I can make sense of what occurred I should be OK.

In a normal fillet feature there is an option to specify a constant width fillet when performing a face fillet. No idea if this is an option with a weld fillet.

What purpose does showing the weld serve? I'm curious because I thought it was a neat idea to include welds until I actually got down to doing it. IMO, if you are only doing design work then the weld will get in the way when working in drawings. It might have its uses in renderings or Photoworks but it is just eye-candy in the design.
