By which extension should i save a proe file so that i can open the same file in catia V5 with out any loss of data?
 
If you have the "CATIA" interface, you can do a "SAVE A COPY" and change the filetype to "CATIA V5". If you don't, then you willhave to save it as an "IGS" or "STP" file and import it into Catia.
