ficep 504 punch lifetimes

has anybody got an idea of how many holes a punch and die for a Ficep 504 should do before needing to be replaced?

Tool life in almost all cases is based on the material you are punching, turning, drilling or whatever operation you are doing. It also depends on how you apply the tool. In this case the centrality of the punch to the die, the clearance on the die, if you are punching the complete hole or nibbling a partial hole and other considerations. You will have to learn with experience.
