Fiber Hinge in SAP2000

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with the fiber hinge (P-M2-M3)in SAP2000? Specifically, does it give good convergence and accurate results in NL Static analysis.

Moreover I would like to ask if fiber hinge P-M2-M3 accounts for shear strength of the elements? I think that it does not but my question is why then shear reinforcement properties are asked in material nonlinearity menu?
