Fellenius Neutral Plane Method (Downdrag)

I am uncertain about how to construct the "resistance curve" in Fellenius's method for determining the location of a the neutral plane for piles subjected to downdrag (see attached).

At point A, the value is Rt + Sum of RS from A to B. At point B, the value is Rt. How do you draw the curve from point A to point B? At point C, is the value equal to Rt + Sum of RS from A to B - Sum of RS from A to C?
