Hello all. I just found this site and it looks very informative.
Question: has anyone out there ever used a hydrogen generator? We are considering purchasing one for our lab for the FID process as a fuel gas, and a search has turned up several models in the 500 ml/min range.
We are considering the Hogen FC600 from Proton Energy and the 60H from Dominick Hunter.
Does anyone have experience with either model?
Thanks in advance for any and all feedback.

I used a home-made one with 12V and about 10A for a
torch for glass cutting.

2 weeks ago we installed the hogen 40 series 2, hydrogen generator

Last week the power supply failed Hogen sent us a new power supply. this week it is giving some other problem we are currently trying to figure it out.

But so far it does not seem to reliable. It has only been online for 2 weeks. and has been functioning about 60% of the time Tech support is good tho.

Thanks for the replies. We ended up buying a Dominick-Hunter, model 60H, and I'm in the process of installing it now.

update: since the we changed the power supply back then the unit has been working fine. Those other problems we were having with it had nothing to do with the unit. The operators were unknowingly opening and closing the water valves that lead to the unit which caused it not to work properly. but it has been working fine since
