Please provide an explanation of Federation as it applies to Surface in V5:


Basic definition, use, benefits.

Fedreation option is there for Extract and as well as join feature.
After join a set of elements federation option will ask to select the suface you want to use for fedration ( All,Tangency propagation etc., ). This means fedration sufaces will behave as one whole surface.
To understand better,pl. go through the online help of "Join" using fedration.
