Hello All, I have been given the task of finding an FEA program to perform strutural and thermal analysis on mechanical systems. Are there some FEA programs that work better with Inventor than others? TIA.

I'd contact the companies from Algor or Ansys to find out the migrating capabilities between their software and Inventor. But beware, they are trying to sell you on their product.

I've been using Algor for a few month now and the interface with Inventor 7 works fine. I run Inventor and Algor on Different machines. I had to install an Algor utililty on the Inventor machine. Since then, I just click a button in the Inventor tools menu to export the geometry to Algor.

I use the Ansys program "Design Space" and it is very user friendly and works great with Inventor. Good Luck!
