You will need to get a credentials evaluation. Each state has their preferred providers for this, but NCEES is accepted in most of them.
The process is basically that you pay ~US$400 first, then they give you a checklist of the documents they need to perform the evaluation. It usually includes identifying information (e.g., national ID or drivers license) and information from the university from which you got your foreign degree (including transcripts, diplomas, programs of study, and course descriptions for every single class you took). Information from the university is the most complicated step of this process, given that not all of them are geared for this process, do not provide translation, and none of their documents can touch your hands.
In my case, I got my undergrad out of the US and my masters stateside. Florida accepts evaluations from Josef Silny and NCEES, and I went with the former due to $$$ - all due to the cost of translation at the time. If you have the money, just do NCEES (MUCH better customer service). Someday I'll get the NCEES evaluation just to be able to go from one state to the other.
Anyways, good luck for you
