Are there any provisions or recommendations for attaching ceiling grid hangers, duct straps, light fixtures hangers, etc. to the underside of a composite slab on metal deck spanning across composite steel beams using power actuated fasteners? My concern is that the fasteners will jeopardize the integrity of the composite slab system. Should I require the contractor to support everything from the steel framing? Are there any published recommendations against fastening to the deck?

Shouldn't affect the integrity of the composite slab system. Routinely done. Fasten only in the bottom flutes of the steel corrugations. Don't hang anything particularly heavy using powder actuated fasteners.

Hilti has all kinds of fasteners for this application.
