This ended up in my 'in basket' this AM. There may be a use for this fastener. I'm not connected to the company; this is for information, and not an endorsement.

Years back when I was working in a steel fabrication firm we just fabricated our own clamps. These off the shelf ones are often not cheap, but normally works out better that custom design.

The brand I see most often is Lindapter.
They are useful when you need them.

Hi dik

Interesting, I have to confess I have never heard of these fasteners before, guess you learn something every day👍🤪

I actually have specified these fasteners before on some interior wayfinding sign structures at our local international airport. The project utilized almost 10,000 fasteners but less than a hundred had extremely difficult attachment conditions to existing framing elements and we utilized these in those situations. Worked well (as far as I am aware). LNA also makes some pretty slick blind bolts for bolting through HSS tubing that I have used a few times as well.

Thanks for the feedback... I've not used them, but looking at the product data sheets, they looked like they could be useful for some unusual problems. I noticed the blind bolts on the web page I posted.

The big market for this type of stuff (lindapter, unistrut, mason west, etc) is in areas with strict AHJs (read: California). The real product is the ICC ES approval, or OSHPD approval, etc. Anybody can fab a beam clamp. Nobody can spec such a thing and get a permit, though. At least based on my experience in component design, pipe bracing, equipment anchorage, etc, in a lot of California jurisdictions.
